AF102 cream is a first-line treatment for chronic and acute anal fissures, as well as pain associated with these conditions, with lower occurrence of adverse events than traditional treatment options.
Similar to Ruituoxi®, AF102, when applied to the anal canal, relaxes anal muscle spasm and increases blood flow, thereby relieving pain and promoting healing of the fissure. In addition, AF102 was developed to decrease the occurrence of adverse events, thereby reducing drop out and increasing compliance.
