Xiexinshu SR is a sustained-release ibuprofen preparation offering 12-hour relief, and is available over the counter (OTC).

Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), first available in the United Kingdom in 1969 as a prescription drug.

Xiexinshu SR is a sustained-release ibuprofen preparation that provides longer lasting efficacy for fever reduction, as well as for treating minor aches and pains due to: headache, muscular aches, the common cold, backache, toothache, or others. The dose-dependent duration of action is approximately 12 hours.

With a low dose of ibuprofen (300mg/capsule), the incidence of gastrointestinal and other adverse drug reactions is very low.
