Raymond Su

Chairman & CEO

Mr. Su is an active entrepreneur, and since 1973 has founded companies involved in health care, high technology, investment banking, real estate and manufacturing across the Asia Pacific region. He provides PUMC Pharmaceutical with strategic direction.

He is also the founder and chairman of the Yuren Foundation, which since 1995 has provided merit-based scholarships to over 400 medical, nursing and pharmacy students from disadvantaged communities across China.

Mr. Su holds an MA in International Relations from Lehigh University.

Sherwyn Hung

General Manager

Mr. Hung is responsible for PUMC Pharmaceutical’s general management duties. Prior to PUMC, Mr. Hung spent 27 years with U.S. and European multinational pharmaceutical and life science companies.

From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Hung served as Chief Operating Officer of National Medical Care/Asia Renal Care, which pioneered the development of organ procurement programs in the Asia Pacific region. During this time, he oversaw the adoption of KDOQI guidelines for CQI throughout Asia Renal Care’s dialysis centers in China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.

From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Hung served as General Manager of Sandoz Hong Kong and China, and Regional Marketing Director of Sandoz Asia Pacific. During this time, he launched the company’s first organ procurement programs in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Hung also served as General Manager of SmithKlineBeecham Taiwan, as Head of Abbott Laboratories' Hospital Division, and as Sales Manager for Eli Lilly Taiwan.

Mr. Hung holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington.



Gerald Su

Director, Corporate Development & Finance

Mr. Su is responsible for PUMC Pharmaceutical’s corporate development and finance activities, including business development and licensing.

Prior to PUMC, Mr. Su worked in New York, London, San Francisco and Washington D.C. in various finance and strategy positions, including as a consultant to the United Nations, as Director of Corporate Development & Strategy for a Silicon Valley technology company, and as an investment banker with Salomon Brothers, where he focused on life science IPOs and mergers & acquisitions.

Mr. Su holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.



Zhao Qiu, MD

Vice General Manager

In addition to sharing PUMC Pharmaceutical’s general management duties with the General Manager, Ms. Zhao is also responsible for the company’s public and governmental affairs.

Prior to joining PUMC Pharmaceutical, she was responsible for public and governmental affairs for Beijing Zhongbang Xingang Meditech Company. Prior to that, she practiced Chinese medicine for 10 years.

Ms. Zhao graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.



Zhang Yi

Director, Research & Development

Ms. Zhang manages PUMC Pharmaceutical’s proprietary research and development activities, with particular focus on new product formulation. She is also responsible for the company’s regulatory efforts with the State Food and Drug Administration.

Prior to joining PUMC Pharmaceutical, she served as Technical Director for DYNE Pharmaceutical and Beijing Second Pharmaceutical Co., where she was responsible for manufacturing, quality assurance, and product development.

Ms. Zhang graduated from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University.



Bai Shuling, MD

Director, Product & Clinical Development

Dr. Bai manages PUMC Pharmaceutical’s product development and medical marketing activities, including the design and supervision of clinical trials and post-marketing studies. She is also responsible for developing the company’s professional education programs, including training workshops, seminars, and symposia.

Prior to joining PUMC Pharmaceutical , she practiced internal medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital.

Dr. Bai graduated from Beijing Medical University.



Lee Yan-Nian, Ph. D

Technical Director

Dr. Lee is PUMC Pharmaceutical’s technical director, with key responsibility for the company’s laboratory and new drug synthesis.

Prior to joining PUMC Pharmaceutical, he worked as a chemical engineer at Solvay Chemtech Industries for over 20 years.

Dr. Lee holds a Ph.D in Chemistry from the University of Delaware. He completed his postdoctoral research at Tulane University Medical School and the College of Environmental Science and Forestry, State University of New York.
